BREAKFAST. Our day begins with a visit to Independence Hall where on May 14th , 1948, Israel became an independent nation. Then we travel to Rechovot to tour the Ayalon Institute, a secret factory camouflaged on a kibbutz making millions of bullets for the Hagana and underground. This was done right under the noses of the British authorities. Kids only will drive to the Lachish region to experience a "hands on dig" at an actual archaeological site, "Tel Marisha" - the birthplace of King Herod. Remainder of the day at leisure. PM: POOL SIDE BAR-B-Q WITH LIVE MUSIC. OVERNIGHT TEL-AVIV.

Friday - TEL-AVIV/ CAESEREA/HAIFA |
|
BREAKFAST. Start today with Old Jaffa, where we walk along the ancient streets, viewing archaeological excavations and charming galleries. Continue north via Netanya to Caeserea. We visit the Crusaders' Battlement, the Roman Theater - where concerts and cultural events take place all summer long, plus the ancient Aqueduct still standing for 2000 years. Next, an emotional visit to Atlit - a former detention compound for Jewish immigrants who arrived in Israel illegally during the British Mandate period. Arrive at our luxurious hotel atop Mt. Carmel where we are greeted with refreshing fruit juice. PM: KABALAT SABBATH SERVICE FOLLOWED BY OUR FRIDAY NIGHT TRADITIONAL DINNER WITH WINE (JACKETS FOR MEN). OVERNIGHT HAIFA.

BREAKFAST. Sabbath at leisure. Enjoy a delightful stroll in the beautiful city of Haifa or visit a local Synagogue. The lovely pool area is yours to enjoy. AVAILABLE - Optional tour to the incredible Tel Megiddo - the excavations that inspired James Michener's book "The Source". Next, drive to a Druze Village where we learn about their culture and customs in their environment. Be a guest in a Druze home. Browse and shop in their bustling bazaar - a fun way to end an exciting tour before returning to our hotel around 2:00 PM. PM: DINNER DANCE WITH LIVE MUSIC. OVERNIGHT HAIFA.

Sunday - HAIFA/AKKO/SAFED/UPPER GALILEE |

BREAKFAST. Drive by the Bahai Temple on our way to the ancient port city of Akko to visit the prison where members of the Hagana and Irgun were held captive during Israel's fight for independence. Here Leon Uris's famous novel “Exodus” was filmed. Then on to the beautiful new Jewish development town Karmiel, in the Galilee. Proceed to Safed, famous art colony and center of mystic Kabbalism. See its Synagogues and picturesque cobblestone streets and art galleries before arriving at our Kibbutz, located in the lush hills of the Upper Galilee. PM: DINNER. After dinner, a Kibbutz Member will give a talk about Kibbutz life. OVERNIGHT KIBBUTZ.

Monday - UPPER GALILEE/ TIBERIAS |

BREAKFAST. Morning walking tour of the Kibbutz. Next we drive to the Golan Heights and enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Hula Valley. See the Syrian fortifications which threatened Israel for 19 years before the Six Day War. Continue to Katzrin, the urban center of the Golan Heights. Then on to the Biblical City of Tiberias. Enjoy a special lunch (included) and a scenic cruise on the Sea of Galilee with dancing onboard. Then the kids will be off for an exciting kayaking trip down the Jordan River, while the adults return to the Kibbutz. Everyone will meet back at the Kibbutz. (3 MEALS THIS DAY). PM: OUTDOOR BAR-B-Q AND SUPERVISED NIGHT SWIM. OVERNIGHT KIBBUTZ.

BREAKFAST. Depart for Beit Shean, the most exciting antiquity excavation in Israel. It is compared to Pompei of ancient Rome. Continue to Bet Alpha for a visit to the ancient Synagogue with its outstanding mosaic floor. On to Sachne, an oasis at the foot of Mount Gilboa. Enjoy a swim in this unique Garden of Eden setting. Continue toward Israel's capital - Jerusalem of Gold. Following in our forefathers footsteps, we enter Jerusalem and gather for a traditional SHEHECHEYANU. PM: SUMPTUOUS DAIRY BUFFET DINNER. After dinner, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrants will have a get together with the Rabbi. OVERNIGHT JERUSALEM.

BREAKFAST. Our first stop will be at Hadassah Hospital and Synagogue with the famous Chagall windows. Continue to the Military Cemetery on Mt. Herzl to view the final resting place of Theodore Herzl, father of political Zionism and gravesites of the late Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and other past leaders of Israel. Next, an emotional visit to Israel's National Memorial to the Holocaust - Yad Vashem, including the New Museum to remember the magnitude of the Holocaust on European Jewry. Visit the Children's Pavillion, the Avenue of the "Righteous Gentiles", and the Ohel Yiskor, the main Memorial Hall. PM: SPECIAL DINNER OUT. OVERNIGHT JERUSALEM.

Thursday - BAR/BAT MITZVAH CEREMONY/ OLD CITY |

BREAKFAST. 6:00 AM depart Jerusalem for Massada where our Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremony will take place. Ascend by cable car to the top of this impressive last Stronghold of the Zealots in their struggle against the Romans. After our emotional ceremony, tour the fortress - see Herod's Palace, the Synagogue and Bath Houses. Descend by cable car. Return to Jerusalem and the old city - walk through the restored Jewish Quarter, stopping at the Hurva Synagogue and the Cardo. Now we head for the Western Wall, the holiest site of Judaism. PM: GALA DINNER PARTY WITH LIVE MUSIC. Our Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrants participate in a memorable and meaningful candle lighting ceremony. (DRESS UP NIGHT - JACKETS & TIES FOR MEN).OVERNIGHT JERUSALEM.

Take advantage of our hotel's health club, heated indoor/outdoor pools, jacuzzi and sauna; or we will visit the Great Synagogue to attend services, return to hotel, then on to the fantastic Israel Museum to view the Dead Sea Scrolls and Shrine of the Book, plus much more. Available - At 2 p.m. an optional walking tour of the Christian sights in the Old City including the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Garden of Gethsemanie. PM: DINNER. BREAKFAST. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea and see the caves of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then on to an exciting and rejuvenating experience at the Dead Sea Spa (known for its healing qualities); includes all indoor and outdoor Sulphur, Mineral and Mud baths. Head for exciting Eilat via the Arava road, visiting the breathtaking magnificence of King Solomon's Pillars enroute. PM: THIS EVENING, DINE AT YOUR LEISURE IN OUR LUXURIOUS HOTEL. BREAKFAST. Today we tour Eilat including a visit to the World Famous Underwater Observatory, the Egyptian and Jordanian borders, and the Eilat Stone Factory. This afternoon all children and teens are invited on a 2 1/2 hour boat ride with swimming in the Red Sea, while adults take the afternoon off to relax at pool side. 6:30 PM: JOIN US AT OUR PRIVATE OPEN BAR COCKTAIL PARTY with drinks, hor d'oeuvres and D.J. for your dancing pleasure. DINNER AT YOUR LEISURE. HOTEL ENTERTAINMENT. OVERNIGHT EILAT.

BREAKFAST. Late morning departure. Depart Eilat driving northward to the great crater of Mitzpe Ramon, the "Machtesh", where we view a unique geological phenomenum comprised of ancient rock strata that dates back 200 million years. Then we visit David Ben Gurion's gravesite overlooking the wilderness of Zin. Continue via Beer Sheva, capital of the Negev to Tel-Aviv. PM: SPECIAL DINNER OUT followed by late evening transfer to the airport. We leave the great land of Israel for our return to the U.S.A. with unforgettable sights and memories etched in our minds of this extraordinary, incredible country. SHALOM!
